Fair enough.

I just have to get my two cents in....The government can do all of the horrors you fear right now....They can access all of your banking records, health records, credit card records...etc.....They can tap your phone, bug your house, and audit your income.....and make you disappear.....But I bet they won't.

I don't think the government will care if you buy a chair at a furniture store....or a hamburger at Wendy's.

If you are buying 800 pounds of dynamite...I would suggest that you pay cash..or have a good reason......but most mad bombers are on top of that type of stuff anyhow.

I think when all is said and done....smart cards will be viewed as a better and safer way to get through life.

ps. Idaho now running a pilot program where debit cards are used instead of food stamps. Cards are loaded with credits each month....can be used at grocery stores only...for food only......Great for areas where the economy does not rely on food stamps for purchase of durable goods and personal items....as is the case in some urban areas.

pss. And if you really want something to worry about....worry about the 80+ one kiloton suitcase-sized nuclear bombs that are missing from the Soviet Army.....and where they are and who might have them.....(the Soviets don't have a clue) One of those babys goes off on downtown Washington DC or NYC........and our lives will change forever.....right away.....big time.
