yes, let's talk about Nelson. What he did was despicable. However, don't blame the GOP for that. Blame the Democrats that refuse to use the stick to keep their members in line. I've said a million times how the GOP votes as a block because they have party discipline. The Dems have zero party discipline.

If it were me instead of Obama, I would have invited Nelson and Reid to my office. Then I would have told Nelson, that he'd better drop his demands or I'll make damn sure not only that he doesn't get a nickel from the national party for his upcoming re-election, but that I'll make damn sure we nominate another Democrat to take his place. In addition, for the other wayward Dems, I'd tell them I'll take away their chair positions and any other senior senate or rep privileges they have and I'd get Reid and Pelosi to back me.

The bottom line is that instead of bringing out the stick to get the Dems to vote as a block, they use the carrot and fill their bills with pork, which absolutely disgusts the American people..

So don't blame the GOP. They've made lemon-aid out of lemons. The Dems and only the Dems are responsible for squandering the first super majority we've seen in a VERY VERY long while. I have zero sympathy for incompetence.
