Kos idiocy of the day The Daily Kos is trumpeting this as if it were Einstein explaining the theory of relativity: “As I discussed in my previous post, record-breaking snowstorms are not an indication that global warming is not occurring. In fact, we can expect there may be more heavy snowstorms in regions where it is cold enough to snow, due to the extra moisture global warming has added to the atmosphere — an extra 4% since 1970. Snow is not the same as cold.” Actually, the opposite is happening. There is less water in the air. That 4% figure is more IPCC Math. The New York Times: “A decrease in water vapor concentrations in parts of the middle atmosphere has contributed to a slowing of Earth’s warming, researchers are reporting. The finding, they said, offers part of the explanation for a string of years with relatively stable global surface temperatures.” So far, the Anthropogenic Global Warming crowd is batting .000 in its predictions (more hurricanes! snowless winters! ice-free Arctic).
