Government debt is no longer considered safe. For decades I have argued that shares should not have the "share premium". It's debt and money which need the "share premium". Now it's official [near enough]: seekingalpha.com

While it's true that governments can confiscate private property, meaning shares, just as they can rob through diluting fiat currencies and defaulting on bonds, at least there is something physical and economically productive in shares.
