GE isn't the only major media owning company with a left wing tilt, and those that don't have one most often don't have a clear tilt as a corporation, except a tilt towards whatever will give them profits, and leave the editorial and news control mostly to the journalists, anchors, editors, producers, etc. who as a profession have a strong left wing tilt.

However, that's not the case with CBS, ABC, Fox News etc.

Not with Fox News, but certainly with the others.

And I find very few papers to be liberal as well....maybe the NY and LA Times, the SF papers and the Boston Globe.

And the Washington Post and others.

Some of the biggest papers in the country. While the largest paper normally considered conservative, the Wall Street Journal, does indeed have a very conservative editorial leaning, but that section is largely separate from the news reporting which doesn't have the same conservative tilt.
