Re: The second problem is people think "living wage" means an SUV every 4 years, a huge home, eating out, eating poorly, guaranteed this, and guaranteed that. I agree. Let's start by cutting wages of the financial sector parasites. How much value is added by someone who collects our retirement savings and then gambles it away? (no offense, I'm not talking about competent folks who invest vs. gamble). Is minimum wage about right? Can't we outsource this work to a third world nation? They'd probably lose far less of our money.... :-)
