ah. makes sense. thanks. however... I am at times supicious of Kristof of being a 'do-gooder' who really has no idea what it is to discover that lump in his neck. feel it. live it. die with it. then talk about it. I am not sure he really feels it or knows it, though he talks a good game. when he gives up his money and then really knows how it feels... k, don't have to suffer. but I am not sure about him. he talks pretty. that's a fine turn of phrase about the neck, but no one actually with the lump would put it so pretty. there is no anger in his words. no suffering. no realization of the coming of death. but then he is a rich man from his books and his writing for the NYT, aye? at least he makes a stab at it. I do know what he is saying, Koan. I am saying he is actually clueless for all his well-spoken 'concern'. it is the 'liberal' line of 'oh, I care so much'. fak them all. all of them.
