Yes it's outrageous.

And it's a sore point with me. As an auditor for the Dept of Education [OIG], I saw first hand what really goes on at many dozens of schools in numerous states. I can tell you that what I saw does not come close to the meme of teachers being a group of overworked, underpaid professionals.

Like any group there is always a segment that is more dedicated & willing to go the extra mile to excel. But to paint them all as both overworked & underpaid is a flat out lie.

As I've said in the past, both my sister & wife were teachers. They both hate my POV, but they grudgingly agree I'm correct in my assessment.
