Interesting use of the term reconciliation.

I cannot imagine a legitimate parliamentarian signing off on
reconciliation as an accepted method to pass legislation.

Reid is appearing desperate in attempting to circumvent Robert's Rules of Order under which Congress operates.

"In addition, Senate leadership aides say they’re uncertain whether the Senate parliamentarian will sign off on the possibility of passing the public option via reconciliation in the first place. And finally, aides want assurances from the White House that it will use its clout to help round up Senate support for the public option, should it come to a vote."

This is just more hot air being bantered about. Pelosi/Reid and Obama should stop playing games with the American people.

The American people don't want that legislation, let it die the death it deserves.
