Do we permit mercantilist policies from other countries, resulting in tremendous trade surpluses on their part (and deficits on ours) in the name of advocating free trade? The other day I was in a Canadian Tire store near my home.. (kind of a combination Automotive/Hardware/Housewares everything but food and drugs store).. anyway the guy ahead of me was complaining to the cashier.. This is the only broom I could find that was made in Canada.. I guess if that prevailed at the grassroots a lot of these issues would be resolved.. Most folks want someone else to 'make it all better' .. Regular folks can start somewhere... They need to.
