The UK should negotiate a deal with Argentina over oil exploration and other matters. Just like USA companies effectively own a large portion of North Sea Oil in the UK, why differentiate? It could be useful for both countries.

That won't happen though. The UK government would much rather go to war again, which is silly IMO. If the UK had given each UK citizen (and probably each sheep) $100K to permanently move off the Falklands, the UK would have saved money by not going to war in 1982.
