Fever Dreams

Sammy's temperature was a raging 106. Throughout the evening, the blizzard shook his bedroom window. Exhausted, he arose and opened it, then thrust himself into the huge drift. The snow melted then formed a cocoon, encasing him. In the bright morning he was found, just as frozen as his smile.
