The era of political elitists getting a pass based on pedigree regardless of their performance appears to be over on the moderate to conservative side of the aisle. The members of the Tea Party movement find they fit much better with traditional Republican values than any iteration of democrat claimed "values". Several Republican incumbents do not meet the standards of members of the Tea Party movement. Some will win their primaries and some will not. As far as Crist, he embraced Obama and he is done. If he wasn't done before the incompetence of Obama has sealed the demise of anyone tied to him.
