<<That's certainly not what I had been understanding from your words relative to income inequality. I believe your words were "I'm counting on it">>

come, hawk, do not act daft. I can warn good and deserving folks, as I have, but should they in the aggregate not listen to and fail to heed warnings, I then must of course count on what I warned would in fact happen, and liberate thus undeserved wealth and secure such in stronger and more deserving hands.

<<… pragmatist … humanitarian ... recognize that economic theories are just different methods by which the "power elite" attempt to control the lives of others. Communists are no different that Capitalists except in how they attempt to obtain that power>>

me as well

And it's my belief that the only thing that separates democracy from fascism is the right to vote for our representatives in free and fair elections.

I agree, but note that deformed democracy ala japan and usa are dysfunctional, fraudulent, and even more harmful than fascism, as fascism is usually voted in power by ignorant electorates

<<And I'm not convinced that Fascism isn't what exists in China>>

I am sure usa is well in its neo fascism phase of republic history

<<right now It's the state using the capitalist system to assist in fulfilling the goals of the state>>

bingo, from capitol hill / white house on down through the fed, goldman sachs, and down to general motors and aig, fannie mae and freddie mac.

<<So long as you provide what state leadership desires, you're fine. But the minute your capitalist "wheelers and dealers" threaten state power, the apparatchiks in [washington dc / ] Bejing will yank the reins on your collars and restrain/detain you.

<<Afterall, isn't all the property in HK built on Government owned land?>>

yes, on 75 + 75 years lease under English common law regime, i.e better than the law constructed in usa domain

And apparently you weren't paying attention to what was going on BEFORE the US even got involved in Iraq and Afghanistan. Raping and pillaging was a common event, especially when the Fidayin Saddam came prowling in the night, trolling for victims to terrorize as an "example" to the rest.

so, your claim of justification is that you have enabled more or less than saddam?

<<And you're doing WONDERS in Darfur, now aren't you?>>

Hong Kong or china troops are in Darfur raping and killing? You saw that news where, on cnn, fox tv, or in your fevered imagination?

<<… Tibet, a country>>

since what time, at any time in history? Did you know that the dalai lama title was a creation of the Beijing rulers as a political-religious mechanism? Obviously not, because usa history curriculum really do not cover the whole truth, does it?

<<But the reality is that the nature of the US people will not permit us to conquer other nations and then colonize them with Americans>>

… you are forgetting your history again. The usa started as a colony and remains a colony.

<<Bottom line.. China's hands are not clean by any means so I wouldn't be throwing stones in your glass house>>

that is the bottom line of your debate point? Nuff said :0)
