To all: I just heard that a State Department press guy is, as I type, holding a briefing (normal scheduled?) and Sudan came up. The US is codifying and imposing futher sanctions on Sudan. More strict on the current restrictions plus a few new ones like freezing any assets in the US. A reporter apparently querried about some resolution (UN?) about weighing sanctions and the misery suffered by the general population and the response was a diplomatic "we don't care". Anyone see a news wire yet? My guess is take a black magic marker and draw a fat line through every sentence in the news report posted by Tomas that has any relation to the US. Regards, Dan
