That's it exactly. The victims were taxpayers and workers at the low end of the socioeconomic spectrum. The victims were people - not corporations. VERY few at the top of that spectrum have exercised any kind of restraint in compensation or regulation - indeed, they've fought every attempt to bring them into line.

In the aftermath of reckless and illegal behavior by powerful interests with NO regard for the public good, and taxpayer-backed losses in the trillions, unions are now being attacked for lawful agreements, conducted openly. It's obvious that these agreements can no longer be supported in a country bankrupted by financial idiocy, corruption and incompetence in economic and political elites. Yet we STILL haven't seen these "leaders" demonstrate any leadership. Instead they have returned their collective snouts to the trough.

That being the case, where is the morality in attacking the lawful behavior of unions?

Answer: there is none. It's simply another demonstration of America's takeover by corporate interests.

Unions didn't bankrupt the country, but they will make concessions. They'll have to. The middle class will get smaller, the poor will get poorer, and the Fat Cats, with their political bedmates, will get rich.

Welcome to the future.
