I just can't get behind another huge entitlement program when Medicare and the Prescription Drug plan are draining the budget. As ugly and messy as the current system is people do get healthcare. Most simply figure out ways to pay for it themselves.....with their own money.

Even if Congress pushes through this plan, what does it really do for someone like your brother? There will still be a premium to pay. If someone like your brother can't afford a $1000 a month premium, will he really be able to pay an $800 a month premium? And if he's forced to pay it, at what point will he wish he had back his $800 a month to just pay out of pocket for his own health needs?

What do you think about Obama's proposal to make those who live on 'passive income' start paying a Medicare tax? This will hit most independent market traders, like yourself.
