Whatever tax changes come my way will be trivial. For me to scream about personal impacts when the broader picture is so compelling, is quite selfish, IMHO.

I would be helpful if more people looked at this from a macro perspective rather than what's in it for them.

So, then, shifting into macro mode, and since you expressed concerns about fiscal time bombs, have you carefully evaluated the size of the fiscal time bomb we have vs that of the likely fiscal time bomb in the weeds? Are you confident we wouldn't be creating a worse one? If so, on what basis?
