It's really, really simple for me. We are the only modern western democracy that doesn't offer healthcare to all its citizens. We should. There is a way to make it workable and affordable, which the policy geeks can come up with. Let's do it. We should. End of story for me. Anyone projecting any big economic trend out more than a couple of years is on a fool's errand anyway, IMHO. It's all GIGO and assumptions.
