All very good points Jim.

I hesitated to post that article, but the bottom line is that every economist worth a damn pointed out that a gov't takeover of any industry is fraught with conflict of interest issues, ET AL. And we have a LWE Congress & President who have serious problems separating fact from personal opinion as it is.

Now they own 2 car companies they took over in the face of stiff opposition. So they now also feel these 2 companies cannot fail or it will make them look bad.

Given that scenario, will Toyota or any other non-gov't owned car CO get a fair shake?

I seriously doubt it.
