Your reaction to a gedanken is shocking for a person claiming to be an EE, although EE's aren't really versed in the natural sciences...

But if you know anything about experimental studies, you should know that the effects of interest are very often studied by exaggerating the conditions that produce the effect. For example, lab rats are given doses sometimes 1000x more than a human would get to accelerate the effect for lab study...if you don't appreciate that, it's understandable that you wouldn't understand the 10% CO2 experiment. But to finish this frustrating discussion, tell me what the result is when you add another layer of insulation in the attic of your house?
