I can't speak for anyone but me, but both sides are guilty IMO.. and it does not bode well for the 'system'.

Especially if the public officials doing the negotiating have a vested interest in increasing the salaries (and BUDGET) they oversee.

That justifies their receiving a salary increase as well..

This good 'ol boy system of "go along to get along" is going to have to stop. And the only way it will is by the public voter getting involved and confronting all of them.
