I agree.

All the polling I've seen seems to show that the public "gets it" on this issue.

Even the poll of Chartered Financial Analysts (arguably a poll of the most knowledgeable and well educated of 'financial insiders') shows overwhelmingly strong support for such reasonable measures to improve the stability and long-term profitability of our financial system....
