I think your comment in an earlier post ("The ideals of virtues are representative of thought. We have an idea and we can measure the extent to which an action is virtuous according to circumstance and perspective") supports my idea of subjectivity in our standards (or ideals).

When you confessed that "ether" was not what you meant but you couldn't think of the right word, I had hopes that you would come back with some suggestion of a storage medium and interchange principle where you thought the Absolute Ideals you were hypothesizing might repose and be absorbed or whatever you were envisioning. But perhaps this idea you have is something that must simply remain forever incommunicable. In the meantime we will all continue to fall short of every ideal we set or contemplate--at least so long as we can imagine a better world than the one we have...
