It's another example of your inflexibility, reminiscent of the Taliban. The sign of a healthy culture or religion is one that changes when new realities present themselves. For example, if we followed the dictates of the Old Testament, women would still be treated as inferior to men. Thankfully, the religion changed with the times and most Christian religions now accept that women are equal to men in every regard.

That shows that Christian values can and does change with the times. Sadly, some of its members will always remain fundamentalist and inflexible, even if it means continued discrimination against others. You are one of those.
