Got this email today from a dear friend in the UK. Her late husband was my business partner, and she regrets ever having moved back to the UK in a panic when he died. This email is about her brother who just had surgery for throat cancer. For thirty years she has complained to me about health care in England.

Dear xxx and xxxx just a little email to let you know how things are with brother John , he came out of hospital but things haven`t gone at all well , he has had 3 rather nasty falls due they say to being so weak , when he was in hospital they had him walking with a zimmer frame but said he didn`t need it at home, now after 3 falls I think they realized he does but Betty his wife is having an awful job trying to get borrow one for him , I can`t understand why they bother to try and save your life when all they do is throw you out and say get on with it. He is back again in hospital for a few days why they run tests on him and of course it gives Betty a short break , I hope and pray this is not all for nothing , I would love to see him have a couple of good years after going through all this. Don't let them do this to you in America.
Hope you two are keeping well and happy , Kath and I are jogging along .
