I adopted that rule originally but I have heard the term widely used now, so I consider it normal lexicon, no different than the grossly exaggerated terms about the left that come out of rightwing media 24/7, and have ever since Obama Derangement Syndrome kicked into full gear almost two years ago now. The idea that the TP crowd should be treated carefully and politely when they are manically dedicated to extreme insults and distortions, just doesn't fly. It's all so childish that I really don't care about the distinction, but rather the political traction of the Tea Party group as we have been discussing it here lately.
