Who do you think supplies ADSL chips to Ascend? Read this: "January 22, 1997 -- Aware today announced that Ascend has tapped Aware DMT technology for deployment in its MultiDSL product family. Ascend plans to incorporate Aware's DMT technology into the DSLPipe-DMT, Ascend's CPE solution for ADSL service. Aware's solution will be incorporated in Analog Devices' AD20msp910 chipset. This is the second chipset to emerge from the partnership with ADI. Speeds up to 8Mbps downstream and 800Kbps upstream are possible with the solution."
