That could be disputed (at least as a general statement about the whole US and not about specific subsets of the market either by location or otherwise), but I won't do so here.

Assuming its true, doesn't result in the conclusion that the statements made by State Farm where faulty. "Lack of competition" is not the same thing as "a problem with anti-trust law exemptions". Pointing out a lack of competition, doesn't amount to an argument against either the facts or the logic they presented.

One of the main reasons for lack of competition in certain states is the fact that the law makes insurance a state by state market rather than a national one.
