Talk about a massive unfunded liability, Bush had a real knack for them at home and abroad.

Congress can't force the president to send or keep troops anywhere in the world, they can only refuse to fund operations and thus force a pullout, if they have the balls, which rarely happens.

Once the Reps get more seats in 2010, even less will get done. Then everyone will be in 2012 campaign mode and even less will get done.

The odds of a Republic president winning with a 60-seat senate majority in 2012 are slim and none. So even less will get done.

And in the meantime, everyone will have lots of reasons why everyone else's ideas about healthcare, energy, immigration, infrastructure and all the rest just can't be implemented because they would be scary or dangerous.

And we will get absolutely fuck all accomplished in years to come. Like the last twenty years.

Makes me want to puke.
