A glimpse into America's future of forced health insurance for everyone...

In Massachusetts, we have just a subset of what Obama wants to do to the rest of America. Here are our NEW monthly group rates for a family plan from the cheapest provider of health insurance we could find in the state for 2010...

Value 15 Opt 1: $1,989
Adv PPO 1000: $1,971
Basic 20: $1,905
Basic 25 Opt1: $1,818
Value 15 Opt2: $1,818
Basic 35: $1,719
Adv HMO 500: $1,677
Basic 25 Opt2: $1,668
Basic 50: $1,608
Adv HMO 1000 Opt 1: $1,578

Take your pick. $15 co-pays with no deductible for routine services will cost about 2 grand per month this year. (In addition, high co-pays will apply for surgeries and hospital care.) Or you can go the "budget" route with $1,000 deductible per family member plus separate high deductibles for surgeries and hospitalization for "only" $1,578 per month.

Rates effective April 1. (No joking.)
