And I think that allowing health insurance to be sold across State lines - WITHOUT giving the States a say will be a race to the bottom. If one plan fits all, won't they have to devise a plan acceptable to the poorest State? And then that becomes the plan sold everywhere - the norm. We've seen this before in the housing industry for instance. So they race to the bottom and then must regulate every single itty bitty issue to make sure you get a house that will stand up - or a health care plan that won't kill you. It guarantees massive regulation and thus an escalation of cost.

The same could be said about the FDA. Let the states regulate the drugs?

How about the FAA. I want to register a pane in a state where when I write the check, I can just fly away -- licensing be dammed.
