I just watched an old movie called The Red Danube. en.wikipedia.org After WWII, the British were assisting the USSR with "repatriation" efforts, which basically meant rounding up Soviet citizens who had tried to escape and whom the Russians wanted to use for slave labor. If the Communist system was so great, why did people want to escape and why did it take force to retrieve them? The same can be said of the Cubans who tried to escape to the US in any kind of leaky boat or raft that floated. Recently, there has been disenchantment noted with Hugo Chavez, Obama's buddy. In Iran, people took to the streets to protest heavy handed government. So why is it that Obama and the Left are so eager to impose the same kind of government from which people have risked their lives to escape? The only answer I can see is that the power brokers and takers figure they will be the shot-callers in the new world order they seek to impose. I recommend that citizens start reading up on WWII and maybe even watch some of the inspiring movies produced at the time with the goal to keep up the spirits of the population fighting against oppression. The faces of the enemies of freedom have changed somewhat over the years. Some of them belong to U.S. politicians. Others are in the media. Many are engaged in jihad. Others in theft and genocide. It's time we looked at the horrors of the past so that they are not repeated. Why Obama pretends to be the fresh face of change while recycling tired old canards that have failed each time tried is beyond me. Maybe more people need to ask questions, and that includes the complicit media.
