So Singapore offers hubby less chance to wander, or is it better for kids in some way ?

Is HK dangerous for kids in some way ? It seems is might be an great place to grow up, since you could use public transit to run all around to all sorts of interesting places. As long as you don't dress like a rich kid, would you be okay ?
