>hybrid engines (gas+electric)< i read about that. honda is developing one. pretty much zero emissions. and mechanically, yes cars are getting smaller but physically they can not because humans are getting bigger. as far as electrical means replacing mechanical means, did anyone catch the article in this week's barron's where the money manager (yardini i think) is predicting a major economic shut-down because of the y2k epidemic, which will cause the market to crash by around 40%, then rocket back to the moon in '01? fyi, i'm looking at some energy issues for contest submission. can i post my submission on monday for the week? will i be behind? gb
