I took a tour of Lake Taupo via Google Street View. It's nice and scenic so I can see why folks want to live there. Oh yes, I saw some sheep too. That would be a hell of a way to die if it blows suddenly, but I think it's more likely to start heating up and steaming a little. Then there would be a fight about whether people have to move out, with the inhabitants naturally demanding government compensation for giving up their property.
