That's the way I read it too. It's a LISCENSING agreement.

These guys are liscensing EVERYBODYS xDSL solution so they'll end up with whatever shakes out at the end.

I haven't finshed my research yet, but it appears they have agreements of varying types with the other xDSL vendors too.

I would imagine most of these guys are watching the present x2 vs Kflakes&reg standards war and do NOT want to repeat it.

Not having a standard has hurt everyone to varying degrees. Some of the players appear to have been fatally wounded (Boca, Zoom), while others suffered severe injuries form which they may NEVER fully recover (ASSend)

Yes COMS/USRX appears to be the winner, but thusfar it's a Pyrrhic victory.
