I switched from DSL to Cable a couple years ago or so.

At the time both providers promised me up to 5mbps service. Bell, my DSL provider delivered about 3.5 to 4mbps, but they introduced Traffic Shaping/Throttling or what I'd call "absolutely shitty service to their own customers".

I've been with Rogers since. They deliver 9.9mbps consistently; and I've never had a service outage that was noticeable. i.e. - during the day or for more than a few minutes at other times.

Essentially it just works. I don't have to sweat anything. [see image of me hitting my head while saying "Knock on Wood"]
