Should they be allowed to adopt kids? That's a question I wrestle with. I haven't thought about it too much, but it does give me greater pause than the civil union issue. The civil union issue is a no brainer to me. It's consistent with my live and let live credo. However, children are sacred to me. So my brain says that gays should be allowed to adopt children, but something inside me doesn't like the idea. I guess I'm as prejudiced as everyone else, despite what I try to be. I'll chalk that up to my Catholic upbringing. I guess I'm not settled on that issue yet.
