I switched to Comcast from Verizon DSL a little over
a year ago, Comcast's phone service seems to work just
fine except for the occasional reset. Maybe twice in
the past year I not had a dial tone--but it was back
after a few minutes.

I've never had any trouble with the cable modem, though
I never did get my router to work--but maybe I'm doing
something clutzy. Occasionally I switch internet to
a different PC for upgrades and downloads and such,
the modem resets no sweat--mine with a toothpick hole
on the back to reboot. Not elegant, but what the hell.

TV is fine, they shuffle the channels fairly often
so that can be a pain, but I get free local over the air
HD and those don't seem to move. All the others and you
need their cable box. But you can rent an HD set top box
for something like $10/mo more. I get the triple play
for under $100 plus another $10 for TV5Monde a la carte.
Internet is something around 15m/s. My price goes up
a notch in a year but Fios will be in the neighborhood
by then and there is always a deal. If I were smart I'd
have done a gmail account or hotmail or something,
that is always a pain each time you move.

Everybody always pisses and moans about installation,
but the fella who set mine up ran coax the full length
of my house right to where I wanted the modem.
