No I'm not arguing either of those ideas. I'm saying the Germany (and some other countries) post war growth spurt, deflates the idea that somehow America's post war growth spurt had anything to do with Glass Steagal. "We had Glass Steagal and had a lot of growth, now we have neither", is true, but just about meaningless.
