Ah... you mean the 'preferred choice' among POLITICIANS....

Actually, I think that the preferred choice among that short-term looking band of hornswagglers we call 'politicians' would be to DO NOTHING.

Continue spending and borrowing.

Hope they are long gone out of office before the piper must collect his pay.

(And, anyway... DEFICIT SPENDING is hugely INFLATIONARY. And as we all know, *inflation* is the POLITICIAN'S FAVORITE TAX --- because bracket creep does the dirty work for them and they never have to cast a recorded vote for it.)
