Bush Jr's tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 were passed through reconciliation, and they were part of the key root causes that have lead to these large unsustainable deficits.

The GOP hypocrisy on these issues is laughable. They rail on the Dems now for the deficit spending and for the possible use of reconciliation to overcome a filibuster. Yet, they lowered taxes that helped drive up the deficits and debt, and not only that, but they did it using reconciliation. That's breathtaking hypocrisy by the GOP.
