I am left with the feeling that it is nearly impossible to govern a country within your model of "every man for himself" ideology. In one of my economics classes a great book which described the economics of various issues. Several came down to the cost of information. People who were connected had better access to information. The internet has leveled the playing field. Are you saying you would rather live in a totalitarian dictatorship than remain free? "every man for himself" = FREEDOM. The opposite is slavery.
