Ted, > What does "forcing their lifestyle" mean?

Forcing as in changing the definition of marriage without the approval of the majority. Telling everyone to cater to the least common denominator. Why have any standards if what you believe is going to be trumped by the guy with lower standards?

In another time, it was argued fairly effectively that marriage should be between people of the same race. Advocates of interracial marriage were accused of changing the definition of marriage and imposing their values on everyone else. Who was right in that argument?

Its interesting because he's playing into the Asian stereotype of not showing any emotion when he sings. The judges are complaining there is no feeling to his singing....he doesn't connect with the words. Does that mean he's not American enough? I suspect he may get voted off this week.

Nah, I think the Asian stereotype is fitting here. Many Asians are technically superior when it comes to musical skill, but lack emotion.

I've seen this one Korean girl play an awesome guitar. She could be a female Carlos Santana if she only put a little more feeling into her style.

I don't know. What about M. Cho? She's kind of zany and emotional.....is that because she grew up in this country? Having said that, it does seem many Asians are subdued but then there was the Japanese guy who stayed with me while he was here on business. We were having dinner and he suddenly started bawling. I have never had an American guy that I've hardly know cry in front of me. In fact, I don't think I've even seen my friends cry. Have to think about that one.
