137 million shares traded yesterday still close at $6.08.

Bid and ask volume were high during the day. Difficult to analyse who is in play. Daytrader volume are generally around $100,000 per trade. But arbitrageurs had $1 million per trade volume. Typically Oracle may become arbitrageur if they are interest for a bid on Novl. Ellison plays a rough game as Rubber baron of old. Intel has 7-8000 people(Paul Otellini) working on Linux operating system(moblin) and owned WindRiver for its realtime OS for cellphones. Intel has become a big player not only in cpu business, but their demo circuits for electronics, force them to be in the operating system business too. So, all the sharks are in the water. This may include Soros who had taken some money off the table lately, on their investment in Novl.

In the mean time Contingency lawyer Howard K. Smith from Pa. is starting to investigate possibly on a class action law suit on Novel directors related to the Elliott offer. Elliott claims 8.5% ownership, but Novl claimes 7.1% direct ownership. Which means some stock maybe in street name.

This makes Novl in play for a few months. We have to watch the market makers to see how over sold or over bought plays out. forbes projected $6.5 as tops. But, Suse Linux can do many apps(38,000) for VARs' market that the buyer has to pay a premium, unless its for liquidation?
