Wgnr got stuck with Mpeg4/h.264(old), same as Eagle broadband(eagl.pk), and its business in telco triple play(incompatibility of video codecs).

Mpeg4/h.264 has since changed to m-jpeg+MP3. But it could be On2 and its VP8 which is adopted by YouTube/Google.

Wgnr is now pushing signage to recover all the problems of their set-top boxes. Using VP8 may get back all their customers, and then some?

Sometimes, you can not rush things, until all the codec stabndards are settled?

But its never too late to change a few codecs to get the business back?
