History is one of my basic interests, and thus the reason for doing genealogy as a hobby....It's a personal history lesson that is ongoing.

It is simply astounding to me that so few people know anything much about our own American History! Instead of learning the things that have made America great, our educational system believes that because we have become more and more 'nationalized' that they teach OTHER countries history in lieu of our own. BAD PLAN!

--I don't notice people rushing FROM America to go and live in other countries.

--I do notice people rushing TO America, both legally and illegally because they want to live here.

--What we ALL must realize is that we CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT change America to be the same as other countries.

--America should and hopefully will, continue to learn and grow, and once again, be the the Shinning City on the Hill~!
