SGI is not in a segment of the market that is expecting tremendous growth over the next several years. It has only one real significant competitor threatening its market: Wintel NT-based systems, and the excess baggage it carries from a fully vertical-integrated self-reliant operation, from its own chips to box-building, means a lot of overlap no matter who were to buy it. SGI is no ASND, vice-versa. Style Pts.
