Yeah, this "no new taxes" stuff the Republicans have been pushing since 1980 has led to this disparity.

It USED to be that EARNED income was thought more highly of than income that was just ACCRUED, but the "Tea Partiers" have been convinced that if Warren Buffet and Paris Hilton get their tax raised it will be a direct SLAP at "them".

It's amazing that the Republicans have been able to pull this off, but they have.

It's the same with the "death tax" thing. They make it sound like it will deprive the average guy from leaving his business or money to his kids, but in most cases it only cuts "slightly" into the inherited wealth of the
Paris Hiltons of the world but they've convinced the average guy on the street that it will be a major "burden" to good hard working people.
